To address this, I revisited the user journey map from initial usability tests, emphasizing the current flow's issues and suggesting alternatives. Stakeholders were strongly attached to the current sign-up process and concerned about losing sign-ups with a new flow. We couldn't A/B test due to time constraints, so we proposed making the middle of the sign-up flow clearer with disclaimers on the landing page to minimize user frustration and confusion.

We thought adding a new feature could significantly improve the user experience with minimal backend work. The platform already had a similar "AI follow-up questions" feature on the interviewing page that users found useful. The clients disapproved "Create questions with AI" but didn't provide specific reasons, despite user feedback supporting the feature.

The InterviewAI design team, comprising four members, operated without a designated leader, fostering open idea exchange initially. However, this led to challenges in project scope and decision-making. One member also left the project early for personal reasons. During this phase, I gained experience in motivating team members, asking critical questions, and refining solutions to keep us on track.
In our time-constrained four-week project, we worked diligently to define the project scope with stakeholders. Unexpected challenges, such as backend constraints, emerged after our pre-final design presentation. Despite occasional setbacks, I learned to maintain a positive attitude, effectively communicate with stakeholders, and the importance of problem-solving and teamwork to design optimal solutions within constraints.
I look forward to the product launch, user feedback, and applying the lessons learned to future projects.
